Peter's Confession about Jesus
Gospel: Matthew 16:15-20
Jesus IAm makes Saint Peter "Rock of My Church"
St. Peter is given the papal keys, the keys of Heaven.
This Gospel makes it clear that God the Father of All Mankind chose St. Peter to be the Rock of His Church. This Means the Vatican the One Church the Catholic Church.
Here is the Gospel: Matthew 16:15-20
15 He said to them, "but who do you you say that I am?"
16 Simon Peter said in reply, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
17 Jesus said to him in reply, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah. For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my heavenly Father.
18 And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it.
19 I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven.* Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”
20 Then he strictly ordered his disciples to tell no one that he was the Messiah.
Peter and Jesus
Gospel: John 21:15-19
Saint Peter is called out by Jesus IAm "Feed His lambs"
St. Peter the supreme shepherd and ruler over the whole flock.
When Jesus ask St. Peter three time if he love Him, the threefold confession of
St. Peter is meant to counteract his earlier threefold denial.
Now that St. Peter is the Church. St. Peter is chosen by God the Father to be
supreme shepherd to feed His Lambs, His Children. His Lambs, His Children will be going to Church, the one true Church "Vatican", the Catholic Church.
Jesus also tells St. Peter the kind of death he would glorify God the Father of All Mankind.
Here is the Gospel: John 21:15-19
15 When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter,* “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Feed my lambs.”
16 He then said to him a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Tend my sheep.”
17 He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was distressed that he had said to him a third time, “Do you love me?” and he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” [Jesus] said to him, “Feed my sheep.
18 Amen, amen, I say to you, when you were younger, you used to dress yourself and go where you wanted; but when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go.”
19 He said this signifying by what kind of death he would glorify God. And when he had said this, he said to him, “Follow me.”
